Kia Ora bloggers and viewers!

Today my siblings and I made chocolate chip cookies for task 18. We really enjoyed whisking the dry ingredients and wet ingredients together. I will really try this recipe again because it tastes so good and ended up so well.

enjoyed the part where we had to shape the cookie dough and add the chocolate chips together. The part that confused me alot was when I forgot to siff the flour I thought I messed it up.

Kamusta everyone!

Today I was feeling bored so I hopped onto the winter learning journey, todays task was number 8. For this task I had to create a song that reminds me of winter using the website “https://musiclab.chromeexperiments.com.”

My song kind of reminded me of winter, the hard part to make it was remind me of winter because there weren’t that many types of sounds.

I really enjoyed the part where tried out all the beats and everything. Bye bloggers and viewers.

WLG (Task 2) Make some winter breakfast for someone!

Kia Ora bloggers and viewers!

Have you been enjoying your school holidays? Im here to show you some of the breakfast I made for my mom. I made this for task 2 for the winter learning journey.

The activity was to make a winter breakfast, my sister and I made an egg snowman. We first cracked 4 eggs and separated the yolk from the egg whites. After that we used an egg shaper and fried the whites. The next step was to make the buttons, so we fried the yolks to add for buttons.

Soon later we noticed that the snowman looked weird with no hands or nose so we fried a sausage and cut it up to look like hands.

Take a little look at my creation!

Matariki Diamante poem

Kia Ora bloggers and viewers!
Today my class made diamante poems.

We had to come up with 6 verbs, adjectives and nouns about Matariki.

Then we put them all together aligned so they can make a diamond shape and also be a poem. The hard part was making the words into a diamond shape because the textbook kept on changing the size of the words. My favourite part was to put some stars on the side and write the words.

Bye everyone! take a little look at my poem! I hope you like it!

Bye everyone!

Stars

Kia Ora bloggers and viewers!

Today I will be sharing some astonishing facts about the stars. I found it quite confusing to learn about the stars because I dont really know there role in the sky or what they’re even made of.

It was really fun to learn what a shooting star is really made of.

Here are some interesting facts, I hope you learn something new!

Star facts

1. Did you know that the sun is actually not the biggest star? There are way bigger stars than the sun, in the constellation Orion, on his knee is a blue super giant star called Rigel. This star is 2 times hotter and x70 bigger!

2. The stars have different colours, blue, white, red and orange. Did you know that the blue stars are the hottest stars and the red stars are the coolest! A good example is when using a gas stove the blue fire is hotter than the orange\red fire.

3. Did you know that the stars are made of helium and hydrogen just like the sun.

4. The Proxima Centauri is the closest star to the sun and this star is a red dwarf.

5. The stars can have different sizes and colours which is why they are called “red dwarfs” or “blue supergiants”.

Shooting star facts

1. Shooting stars aren’t actually stars because stars are made of gasses which means it cant be a falling rock.

2. Shooting stars are actually small particles of a comet, asteroid or a meteoroid that shoots down into Earth’s atmosphere.

3. Earths gravitational force pulls the particles and they go through Earths atmosphere.

4. In some cases the particle can turn into dust. In other cases they can turn into a fireball and shower down on Earth called a meteor shower.

The Sun facts

The Sun

Kia Ora!

Today our class had to research through websites about the sun. It was very easy to do, the fun part was adding all the pictures.

I found it a bit hard to find some interesting facts  about the sun with limited websites.

I made a slideshow answering some questions, I really hope you all learn something new!

3 Space things explanation 🚀

Kia Ora!

Today my class had to write 3 things that we would take into space.

I picked three things then our teacher told us that we had to write explanations on why we would bring them. My favourite part was writing the explanations on why I would bring water. The process that was very hard was finding ideas on my text on why I would bring a special spacesuit other than just writing for protection.

Take a look at my explanation writing! ⬇

Why I would bring these three items to space 🚀

I am going to tell you the three things you must bring into space! You need to bring something into space otherwise you won’t survive! You need many things, but I will point out the main three ones.

First of all, you absolutely can not survive without any water because of the low oxygen supply in the spaceship! It also won’t be a matter of minutes until you start feeling dehydrated and nauseous. You also need it for other things like cleaning space gear and yourself. I would use water because maybe I have to stay a long time in space and I need to clean myself because some people stay for long periods of time in space. I would also use water because I might get my gear dirty on a planet and I can’t bring it in the spaceship.

Secondly, you absolutely need to bring a special space suit. You need to protect yourself on different chilly cold planets and scorching hot ones! Also it provides oxygen while you’re in space. Space suits also provide protection from harmful gases floating in the atmosphere. I would bring one so that I can walk around, explore and take samples.

Lastly, I think you should bring a camera. You can take amazing pictures, show family and friends and even more! Imagine being the first person to land on a planet, even better, you have some photos of different views on the planet! You just made history forever in that case.  You might also discover something odd and mysterious about the planet and take a picture.

That is my point of view, because who wouldn’t want to drink water, have a safe suit and create history on a planet? I think that if I had to bring 3 things I would bring these three.

Bye bloggers and viewers!! 😄
